Biography

Eleanor "Ellen" King was born about 1799 in Halifax County, Nova Scotia to Frederick King and Mary Parrem, and was baptised September 19th 1809 at "age 9 years" at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Halifax.[1][2]

She married Archibald Darrach, likely in Halifax County, sometime prior to 1820. They had 10 known children together in Herring Cove, Halifax County.

Ellen passed away in 1880, and is buried in St. James Church Cemetery in Herring Cove.[3][4]

Ellen died intestate; her estate file[5] refers to her heirs as son Archibald (petitioner), his brother Frederick, and "seven sisters, all married women but one - Sarah Darrach".
