Biography

Frederick was born in 1798 in Halifax County, Nova Scotia to Frederick King and Mary Parrem, and was baptised on January 15th 1799 at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Halifax.[1][2]

Research Notes

Frederick's 4 sisters lived in Herring Cove as adults. The 1827 census records a Frederick King, fisherman, living in Herring Cove,[3] but it's not clear if this is for this Frederick or his father.

Frederick is likely the Frederick King of Herring Cove named as the father of Mary Ann King, illegitimate daughter of Susan Reily who was baptised in 1824.[4]
