Biography

Catherine was born in 1807 in Halifax County, Nova Scotia to Frederick King and Mary Parrem, and was baptised September 19th 1809 at "age 2 years" at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Halifax.[1][2]

She was living in Herring Cove, Halifax County on June 29th 1825 when she married John Higgins at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Prospect, Halifax County.[3] She had converted to the Catholic faith and had been conditionally baptised the same day.[4]

They had 1 child together, a daughter Mary, in 1826.[5] Mary died at 4 months old.[6]

Catherine must have died in 1826 or 1827, when John remarried.[7]
