Biography

Jean Williams dit Bristol, son of Joseph Williams dit Bristol and Marguerite Cormier, was born on December 25, 1854 and baptized on January 8, 1855 in Cocagne. His godparents were Honore Leblanc and Osithe Goguin.^[1][2]

In the 1861 census, he was 6 years old and lived in Dundas, New Brunswick with his parents and siblings.^[3]

In the 1871 census, Jean was 16 years old, worked as a farmer, and lived with his parents and siblings in Dundas. His father Joseph was a teacher.^[4]
