Biography

Fidele Williams dit Bristol, son of Joseph Williams dit Bristol and Marguerite Cormier, was born on October 12, 1853 and baptized on October 20 in Cocagne, New Brunswick.^[1][2]

In the 1861 census, he was 7 years old and lived with his parents and siblings in the district of Dundas, New Brunswick.^[3]

In the 1871 census, Fidele was 16 years old and worked as a farmer. He lived with his parents and siblings in Dundas. His father Joseph was a teacher.^[4]

Fidele married Sylvie Landry, daughter of Olivier Landry and Apolline Surette, on October 27, 1879.^[5] Children of Fidele Williams and Sylvie Landry:

3. Delphine Williams (1884-____)

In the 1881 census, he was 26 years old, worked as a farmer, and lived with his wife and 2 young children in Dundas.^[6]

He passed away at the age of 30 on January 23, 1884 and was buried two days later in Cocagne.^[7] His youngest daughter Delphine was born 3 months after he died.
