Biography
Jean Morin was born and baptized on 23 Mar 1844 in Saint-Anselme parish in Bellechasse, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Dominique Morin, farmer, and Madeleine Corriveau of this parish. Sponsors for Jean's baptism were Jean Fortier and Angelique Mercier; neither sponsor signed the register..
At age 25 Jean married Malvina Roy on 27 Jul 1869 in Saint-Romain parish in Winslow, Québec, Canada. The couple received a dispensation for one bann of marriage. There was at least one known child born into this marriage.
Jean Morin died at age 72 on 9 Aug 1916 in Saint-Charles Borromée in Beaulac, Garthby, Québec, Canada; he was buried two days later on 11 August in in Saint-Charles Borromée parish cemetery.
