Take a look at the DAR’s terms of service.

If you purchase copyrighted material (I do not know if the DAR materials are copyrighted), the copyright does not transfer to you. If they place restrictions on use of purchased materials, you are bound by those restrictions.
I information is records and documents that are available just very hard to find such as some Wills, probate records and military stories, marriage records, and information in Military files and documents that a family members may not have posted online such as a family bible. This information can help verify other relationship to your family that you may not have access to before this record.

All these files can be recovered in a persons military pension file, the plus about getting it from DAR is you can download is on the spot and not have to wait weeks or months if you order it through the government.

Thanks for your reply that's still very good information to pass on to the next researcher.

DAR is very fussy. The application is copyrighted and the information you get from the website is under licensing terms.

The information you purchase will have similar constraints.

The search page issues the following notice:

The databases contain DAR proprietary information which should under no circumstances be redistributed to others, assembled, reproduced, published, or posted in any form whatsoever with the exception of the following: (i) DAR membership and supplemental applications; (ii) citation in genealogical scholarship; and (iii) citing a DAR patriot name and number in publications and on third party websites.

Wow thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'm going to make sure I share this information with all the researches I know. It's funny how we can just overlook the things right in front of our face. Doug this is a must to pass on.

Thanks Again

You can use facts from the records and cite the documents, but not post images of them.  It’s helpful if you can find a different repository that has a publically-available image of a record.
