Daughters of the American Revolution DAR subcategory

I am the Organizing Regent for a new chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.  Our chapter is the Virgin Valley Chapter, Mesquite, Nevada.

I started a free space page of the WikiTree profiles for our members' Revo War ancestors.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Virgin_Valley_Chapter%2C_NSDAR

I would like to see a subcategory added to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Daughters_of_the_American_Revolution entitled Chapter Ancestors or Chapter Patriots.  Then I would like to have my freespace page added to the new subcategory.  Can someone help me with this?  I don't want to do it wrong.

Also, the Cascade Chapter could be added as well.  http://www.cascade-dar.org/patriots.htm

Any other Chapter lists of patriots to add?  Thanks all!

Could you clarify exactly what the use would be? It sounds like these would be categories that only contain the profiles of qualifying ancestors for members from that chapter and not the profiles of members themselves. Is that what you are proposing?

If chapters are maintaining such lists, it seems like a Space page with pointers directly to those lists would be more efficiently maintained. Who would update the categorization when needed? Also, this approach would potentially add a lot of categories to those qualifying ancestor profiles.

Thanks, Doug.  Yes, it would only be for the Patriot ancestors.  The members could join WikiTree and make the connection to their own profile as they wish.  I see it as a means of getting more information available for our ancestors and connecting family lines.  It should draw in the interest of more potential WikiTreers and DAR members.  There may be some multiple subcategories for some patriot profiles, but most of the patriots would only have a couple of links.

I think it would be better than having a bunch of unconnected free space pages that no one could find.
You wouldn't have free-floating FSPs. Have one that is linked in the Category description and then that page would have a list of chapters and a link to their "ancestors" page. That would keep things nicely contained.
no, NO MORE  CATEGORIES  the proposal is to give each CHAPTER  their own  FREE SPACE

FREE SPACES  can do this  can't THEY?  again plzz   go to the DAR  profile

only 1 more category,  sub category actually.   and then the page points you to  FREE SPACE [https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:NSDAR_State_Chapters NSDAR_State_Chapters NSDAR_State_Chapters]

when a new member goes to the NSDAR  category she can do 3 steps  to find her FREE SPACE  for her state.

Please let me know IF when you try this  you believe it is any harder than finding say,  finding the Division for World War II soldier.

Guess the instructions are not done yet.  Each Chapter as at least 1 DAR Member  goes to her state and if it is not there SHE can do a FREE SPACE for her state and  then  add  that STATES Chapter,  Please review the 2 States that are already  started  thank you.

I agree with Doug. The space page seems to contain your list quite well. The indiv. profiles should have the usual DAR category/sticker, as approved by the DAR.

In the bios of the patriot ancestors, a link can be made to the space page, and from the page, a link to each profile.

There are many DAR chapters. This sounds like a project in itself, just to keep track of it. It will require a proposal, just like other category structures. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Categorization_-_Proposing_Category_Structures
