Conflated DAR ancestor Record - Who do I contact? [closed]

Hello there !  I have been working on profiles of Connecticut men in the revolutionary war, and came across a profile whose DAR record may be slightly conflated with the other Andrew Griswold of Connecticut (from Norwich, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Griswold-2879, who I created a profile for).  Only Andrew Griswold, A048646, 1745-1813, is in the DAR record, which perhaps be some of the cause.

Is there someone I can contact about this to notify them? I can share more details with them.

Contacting them will not do any good. The only way to correct the record is to submit a correction application.  They would only red-flag the patriot with a statement “ PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED WITH AT LEAST ONE PREVIOUSLY VERIFIED PAPER - SEE ANCESTOR’S FULL RECORD”. But they may only do that thru an application process.  I looked up this Patriot in the GRS.  There have only been 3 approved members under this patriot the most recent was in 2019. But before that was from 1934.  The supporting documentation in their records contains a complete pension record listing him, wife and children.  (Which is unusual with these early applications).

Great info, Erica! - May I ask you another question?  I also have an ancestor who was conflated with a0 Revolutionary War veteran of the same name and several DAR/SAR applications were approved with the incorrect info. How can I (or can I at all) see what documents were submitted with the original applications?

Thansk!
