Biography

Alphonse was born in Québec, Canada around 1867.[1] He is the son of Alphonse Matte and Calixte Leclérc

He married Marie Amanda (Ouelette) Matte (1866-) on February 14, 1895 at le Cathédrale de Saint-Germain-de-Rimouski in Rimouski, Québec.[2] [3]

He lived with his family in Ottawa[4] for some time before they moved to the US in 1915.[5] They lived in Worcester, Massachusetts[6] until at least 1940.[7]
