Marie Louise was born in Rimouski, Québec, the daughter of Alphonse Matte and Calixte Leclerc. She came into this world on 25 octobre, 1875 and was baptized Marie Louise Matte that same day at le Cathédrale de Saint-Germain-de-Rimouski.[1]
Marie-Louise married Duncan Dubé, son of Barthélémi Dubé and Flore Smith, on 4 aug, 1895 at the Cathedral of Saint-Germain-de-Rimouski.[2][3]
