Who Am I?
In my youth, I joined the Junior Olympics as a hopeful for the eventual Olympics. My sports of choice were Discus throwing and running the 440 and 880. Unfortunately, that did not last long as I found out I had genetically, really bad knees.
I then found I had a talent for guitar playing and singing early on, but did not do this seriously until about the age of 15 years old when I played publicly. When I was 17, and graduated from High School, I went on the road with my band playing Top 40 and Jazz Fusion. We recorded quite a few of our original songs and I really thought we were going to go somewhere. I was offered a solo contract, but felt guilty leaving the band behind, so I declined. Who knows where my path would have led had I taken that contract, but I am happy with where my life path has gone.
After a successful career as a Clerk to the Superior Court Presiding Judge, I became a stay home Mom to raise our children. Never one to stay still, I worked on my genealogy and wrote an historical novel based on one of the stories of my ancestors. It was picked up by a publisher and was a great success. I also was a co-author on a paper on the Mitochondrial T Haplogroup that was published in a Scientific Journal. It was a very exciting time for genealogy and DNA for me and, well, the genealogy world with everything opening up in the fields.
After the kids grew and flew the nest, I went back to school and became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and trained with FEMA for World Wide Disasters. I worked with the Fire Department as a First Responder/Fire Rescue. I was able to deploy to many places to help with disasters.
Now in Virginia, I spend my time, working on breaking down all those brick walls that have been so difficult for me in years past. It is a challenge that will never cease as families expand and our WikiTrees grow together and blend. I LOVE this job!

Anne Boleyn, Queen of England: The ghost of Anne has been seen on numerous occasions at the Tower of London. It is said her ghost haunts the place of her death, beheaded on Tower Green on the 19th May 1536. A number of people have also claimed to have seen Anne's ghost at Hever Castle, Blickling Hall, Salle Church, and Marwell Hall. She was my 4th cousin 14 times removed through our great grandparents Thomas (Mowbray) de Mowbray KG and Elizabeth (FitzAlan) Usflete.
Brita (Gustavsdotter) Gustafsdotter: According to the ghost stories, she was a mean-spirited woman, who survived two husbands. She died from a horrible supernatural experience she underwent in the night before Christmas Day: She awoke to see lights in the windows of the church and hurried to the church so as not to be late for the early service on Christmas Day. When she entered the church she found it filled with the dead, keeping their own early mass. Her two dead husbands attacked her at the entrance, one of them swiping at her with his rapier, that only caught her veil. The other threw a stone, which also missed. Brita fell down in a swoon and died three days later. She is said to appear as a ghost at Ängsö castle, where she walks between the Royal Chamber and the big ballroom in the evenings. She has also been seen walking between the parish church of Ängsö and the castle, carrying a lit candle. She was my 16th cousin 11 times removed through our great grandparents Harald Hardråde Sigurdsson and Béla (Arpadhazi) Hungary.
Dorothy (Walpole) Townshend: Dorothy died under mysterious circumstances on 29 May 1726 and was buried at East Raynham, Norfolk on 6 April 1726. Some sources say her death was from smallpox but others say she died of a broken heart after being separated from her children, thus becoming the famous ghost The Brown Lady of Raynham. Some of my Ancestors were slave holders. From my own DNA, I found I have African DNA and I don't know for certain where exactly it comes from. This is frustrating as it must be for those that were enslaved by some of my ancestors. So, I have decided to take on a personal project to help bring together these families today...God willing.
