Joan de la Warre was the daughter of Roger la Warre, Knt., 3rd Lord la Warre, by his second wife, Eleanor de Mowbray.[1][2][3] The date and place of her birth are unknown and are estimated.
Joan married first Ralph de Wilington, of Sandhurst, Gloucestershire, Calstone Wellington, Wiltshire, etc.[1] The date of their marriage is unknown. Ralph died 16 August 1382.[1]
Joan married (2nd), before 2 May 1384 (the date of the pardon for marrying without a license), Thomas West, Knt., son and heir of Thomas West, Knt. and Alice Fitz Herbert.[1] They had three sons and one daughter:
Thomas, Knt., 2nd Lord West, born in 1392, died at sea in September 1416, married Ida Saint Amand, had no surviving issue[1]
Reynold, Knt., 6th Lord la Warre, 3rd Lord West, born September 1395, died 27 August 1450, married first Margaret Thorley and second Elizabeth Greyndour[1]
Joan, wife of Richard Delebere and of William Catesby[1]
Joan died 24 April 1404[3] and her husband died 19 April 1405, leaving a will dated 8 April 1405.[1]
