Biography

Maria Louise Waller was born on about 23 September 1839. She was the daughter of Charles Waller and Maria Burgher.

In the 1850 United States Federal Census enumerated on 22 July 1850, Maria L Waller (aged 10) was recorded living with her father Charles Waller (49 and a Painter), her mother Maria Waller (39) and her siblings Charles Waller (15, a Clerk), Josephine H Waller (14), William E Waller (9), Edmond Waller (5) and [[Waller-6716|Oscar Waller (10 months) at Hoboken, Hudson, New Jersey[1].

She married her cousin Samuel William Waller (the son of Samuel Waller and Henrietta Colclough) on 14 March 1863 (by Licence dated 12 December 1862) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada[2]. They had the following children:

  1. Charles Guy Carieton Waller (b. 1863)
  2. Samuel William Waller (b. 1865)
  3. John Stanton Waller (b. 1869, m. 1888, Ida Anna Finley, dau. of James Peyton, late of Montreal, Canada, d. 1921)

Sadly Maria Waller passed away on 26 March 1873, aged 33, and was buried at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, United States[3][4]. PLOT: Section 4 Lot 70 grave 17
