Biography

Samuel William Waller was born on 10 February 1844. He was the son of Samuel William Waller and Henrietta Eliza Colclough.

He married his cousin Maria Louise Waller (the daughter of Charles Waller and Maria Burgher) on 14 March 1863 (by Licence dated 12 December 1862) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada^[1]. They had the following children:

1. Charles Guy Carleton Waller (b. 1863)
2. Samuel William Waller (b. 1865)
3. John Stanton Waller (b. 17 Oct 1869, m. 1888, Ida Anna Finley, dau. of James Peyton, late of Montreal, Canada, d. 30 Sept 1921)

Sadly his wife Maria passed away on 26 March 1873, aged 33.

Samuel married, secondly, Eliza Maria Hughes on 18 May 1878 at the Trinity Memorial Chapel in Montreal, Québec, Canada^[2].

They went on to have at least five children.

In 1891, Samuel Waller, age 47 (born in Quebec) lived in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Territories, Canada with his wife Eliza Waller (34) and their four young children Edmund Waller (12), Arthur Waller (8), Hugh Waller (4) and Catherine Waller (1)^[3].

Samuel William Waller passed away on 3 October 1917 and was buried at Wild Rose North Cemetery, Holbein, North Battleford Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada^[4].
