Biography

Josephine Harrison Waller was born on 23 May 1837. She was the daughter of Charles Waller and Maria Burgher.

In the 1850 United States Federal Census enumerated on 22 July 1850, Josephine H Waller (aged 14) was recorded living with her father Charles Waller (49 and a Painter), her mother Maria Waller (39) and her siblings Charles Waller (15, a Clerk), Maria L Waller (10), William E Waller (9), Edmond Waller (5) and Oscar Waller (10 months) at Hoboken, Hudson, New Jersey^[1].

On 6 July 1854 she married John Stanton. They had two children:

1. Eugenie Stanton (b. 1855, m. ? Nortrand, d. 16 Mar 1900)
2. Oliver Edgar Stanton (b. 1860, d. 16 Jan 1910)

She lived with her husband and children in Brooklyn, Kings, New York.

Her husband John died in 1870.

Josephine Harrison Stanton passed away on 11 August 1917, both her children having pre-deceased her.
