Biography

Edmund Waller was born on 10 December 1844. He was the son of Charles Waller and Maria Burgher.

In the 1850 United States Federal Census enumerated on 22 July 1850, Edmond Waller (aged 5) was recorded living with his father Charles Waller (49 and a Painter), his mother Maria Waller (39) and his siblings Charles Waller (15, a Clerk), Josephine H Waller (14), Maria L Waller (10), William E Waller (9), and Oscar Waller (10 months) at Hoboken, Hudson, New Jersey[1].

His mother Maria died on 17 June 1872. His father Charles passed away on 23 January 1885, aged 83.

Edmund fought in the American Civil War.

He married Elizabeth Mausehund on 29 April 1872 in Des Moines, Iowa[2].

Edmund Waller probably passed away on 9 March 1888 and was buried at Fort Madison City Cemetery, Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa, United States[3][4]. Cause of death was recorded as Softening of the Brain.
