Biography

Dorothy (King) Brunell was born in Appalachia, in New York. See Appalachia Project.

Dorothy was born in 1913 in Rushford, Allegany, New York. She was the daughter of Louis King and Elvena Mix. ^[1]

In 1930, Dorothy lived in her father's household in Olean, Cattaraugus, New York.^[2]

On February 14, 1931, Dorothy married Carlyle Brunell in Allegany. Because she was underage for marriage, she lied about her age and parents' names. ^{[3] [4]}

Dorothy died on February 19, 1933 in Olean, Cattaraugus, New York and was buried in Bellville Cemetery, Bellville, Allegany, New York. ^[5][6]
