Biography
When Martha Mattie King was born on March 1, 1865, in Harrison, Arkansas, her father, John Jehu King, was 58, and her mother, Elizabeth Betsey Valentine, was 37. She married James Albert Woolley on August 7, 1884, in Union, Arkansas. They had 11 children in 23 years. She died on April 18, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 96, and was buried in Strong, Arkansas.
In the 1880 census Martha (age 15) was the single daughter of John King in Harrison, Union, Arkansas, United States.[1] The household was:
