Biography
When John Jehu King was born on October 16, 1806, in Wilkinson, Georgia, his father, Bennett King, was 26 and his mother, Mary Hixon, was 29. He married Mary Elizabeth Polly Goddy and they had six children together. He then married Elizabeth "Betsey" Valentine and they had 12 children together. He died on May 20, 1882, in Harrison, Arkansas, having lived a long life of 75 years, and was buried in Strong, Arkansas.
Mary Goddy married John King on 30 May 1825 in Wilkinson, Georgia.[1]
