Biography
When Elizabeth "Betsey" Valentine was born on June 20, 1827, in Gordon, Georgia, her father, Thomas Valentine Jr, was 32, and her mother, Rebecca Leslie, was 22. She married John Jehu King on August 17, 1845, in Wilkinson, Georgia. They had 12 children in 23 years. She died on March 4, 1910, in Harrison, Arkansas, having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried in Strong, Arkansas.
