John Thomas Clark was the eldest son of Joel Clark and Sarah Jane Bellamy, born on 5 Feb 1862 in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky. Around 1865, his family moved to Greenup County, Kentucky.[1]
J.T. married Temperance "Tempa" Lake (1871–1937) on 31 Jul 1890 in Lawrence County, Ohio. They made their home in Oakview and in Ashland, Boyd County, where J.T. was a grocer.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
John Thomas Clark and Temperance Lake had the following children:
Luther George Clark (1891–1973)
Cecil A Clark (b. 1904)
Tempa died on 30 May 1937. J.T. remained in Ashland, where he died on 1 Apr 1954. They are buried in Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, Boyd County, Kentucky.[9][10][11][12]
