In March 2022 I published a revised Callin Family History for publication. I have been maintaining a page on my blog listing My Sixteen (https://mightieracorns.blogspot.com/p/my-sixteen.html) and I have a Virtual Cemetery on Find-A-Grave for 22 of my Great 28 (https://www.findagrave.com/virtual-cemetery/570985) - collecting the memorials of my 28 grandparents, great-grands, and great-greats (the Sixteen).
If you think we might be connected, use the search bar on my blog to see what I've posted, or just ask.

I have found old local histories to be useful, but you have to be careful about trusting them. They can omit or exaggerate myths and family legends. I have found that the best approach is to document what they say, and then use primary sources to either confirm or refute the published information.
For the sake of collaboration, it is never a good idea to simply ignore them or remove incorrect information from a profile - it is always better to document which information is "wrong" and explain why with evidence. Future researchers are likely to find that local history (or obituary, or hand-written recollection) anyway, and if they see that you already documented it, you will save them the time and effort that you put into discovering the truth.
As I work to add citations to local histories in my research, I also plan to make sure those sources have a "Space:" page that collects links to existing online versions or to library and society collections. Until I find a Project that covers this, I'm documenting the Spaces I've contributed to here:

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s VERY important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
