Lewis married Catherine Ellington. Both were buried in Fountain Hill cemetery, near their old home. They were the parents of five children: Bryant, Henry, Joseph, Aquila, and Betsy.

ii) ___ married Joab Griffin.
iii) Betsy married Elisha Mullis
iv) Joshia [???] married Emeline Price.
v) Obadlah married Arnetta Allen.
vi) William married Nancy Mullis.
b. Henry, second son of Lewis, married DeLaney Austin, daughter of James Austin Sr. and were the parents of twelve children:
i) James married Miss Siaton.
ii) John married Julia Ann Sancine.
iii) Louis Riley married Margaret Dumas.
iv) Wilson married Sally Thomas
v) Hiram married m1) Laura Tanner, m2) Ellia Allen
vi) H. M. married Tobitha Biggers
vii) Ellis married Sally Tanner
viii) Calvin married m1) Widow Stafford who was Elizabeth Edwards, m2) Frances Baker who was the widow of Burwell Benton.
ix) Sarah married Annanias Thomas, Thomas.
x) Martha married J. E. W. Smith.
xi) Rowena married George Tucker.
xii) Elmire died at the age of fifteen.
c. Joseph, the third son of Lewis, married Sarah Brantley and were the parents of nine children:
i) John
ii) Thomas
iii) Benjamin
iv) Fronnie married Josiah Helms.
v) Martha married Henry Tarlton.
vi) Elizabeth married Eli Tariton.
vii) Ellen married Thomas Helms.
viii) Mary married Richard Presson.
ix) Maggie married Tracy Weir.
d. Aquilia, first daughter of Lewis, married Cullen Braswell and were the parents of two sons:
i) Church
ii) Timothy
and four daughters:
i) Ellen never married
ii) Viny married Thomas Harrington.
iii) Laura married m1) Jacob Austin, m2) Edmund Harrington.
iv) Mrs. Carriker.
e. Betsy, second daughter of Lewis, married James Brantley, a brother of Joseph Baucom’s wife.
