Etta (Armstead) Manney is a part of US Black heritage.

Etta was born around 1884. She was the daughter of Sandy Armstead and Lou Armistead.

In the 1900 census Ella (age 16), Farm Hand, was the single daughter of Lou Armstead in Justice Precinct 1, Hays, Texas.[1]

Etta married Andrew Blackwell on 28 September 1901 in Hays, Texas, United States.[2]

Etta and Andrew had at least one child, a son Homer born in 1903 who passed away in 1923.[3]

In the 1930 census Etta (age 48) was the wife of Richard Mannie at 421 Pugotory St, San Marcos, Hays, Texas, United States. There was one daughter in the houshold.[4]

In the 1940 census Etta (age 54), Canner, was the widowed head of household in San Marcos, Hays, Texas. She had one brother, Ivory, in her household.[5]

Etta, daughter of Sandy Armsted & Lou Franklin, died (age 56) on 12 January 1944 in San Marcos, Hays, Texas, United States.[6]
