Lou was born around 1857 in MIssissippi.

In 1880 Lou was living with husband Sandy Armstead in Blanco County, Texas.[1]

In the 1900 census Lou (age 55), Farm Hand, was the widowed head of household in Justice Precinct 1, Hays, Texas. She had seven children in the household.[2]

She passed away sometime after 1900. She was buried in Peyton Cemetery in Blanco County, Texas. [3]

Research Notes

Maiden name may be Franklin based on children's death certificates, but want further proof that this is not a 2nd husband name before changing.[4]

Husband died in 1887 according to FindAGrave, but no photo of memorial. There are a couple of children born after 1887 listed in 1900 census. Assuming Sandy is father for now.
