Monroe Armistead is a part of US Black heritage.
Monroe Armistead was a Texan.

Monroe was born in 1874. in Texas. He was the son of Sandy Armstead and Lou Armistead.

In 1880 he was living with his parents and a sister in Blanco County, Texas. [1] (Note Ancestry transcription incorrectly has him as separate entry from his parents).

According to a note on FindAGrave Monroe died sometime between 1880 and 1887. He has a memorial on FindAGrave for Peyton Cemetery in Blanco County, Texas.[2]
