Hello WikiTreers!
In each WikiTree Challenge we partner with another group in the worldwide genealogy community. Together we research seven degrees of connections for seven starting people chosen by our partner.
Challenge #11 was a lot of fun! Our partner was the Kentucky Genealogical Society (KYGS). They are an enthusiastic group of genealogists and family researchers who first came together in 1973 -- 50 years ago! The first president, Charles Edwin Shelby, considered Kentucky one of the more important research centers in the country. Their membership has continued to grow every year.
Our week began Thursday, June 22, at noon EDT (4pm UTC) and ended June 29, at noon EDT. You didn't need any particular skills to participate, so everyone was welcome to join us.
Discoveries, questions, and bounty claims were posted under the seven starting profiles (comments at the top are hidden once read). We chatted in Discord, and were excited to see the encouragement and collaboration there.
We rocked this week!
