I have looked every were I can but I cant seem to find any records of who the father of Charles H Putnam is. According to Census his father was from New York. I've looked at family search and I don't have a membership on ancestry. I don't think it would help much as I believe I have disproved the linage I found there. Were else could I look?

looks like you may be a Mayflower descendant and a relative of President Grover Cleveland
Jeannette Cleveland/Cleaveland was the daughter of Brigader General Erastus Cleaveland , War of 1812
your Putnam line runs back to John Putnam who married Priscilla Gold in 1612 and came to America in 1634 to Salem

Puritan Great Migration, so they'll probably be in wikitree already
Thank you for your help.

Yes, I see your problem.  I do have an Ancestry subscription, but like Marion, I only found Charles L. Putnam.

Two suggestions for now:  First, do make sure that Charles H. and Charles L. are two different people, and not just two versions of the same person due to mistakes on the census or whatever.  You may have done that.

Second, it doesn't seem to be too far back to review the DNA evidence.  So try that (if you haven't).

By the way, it looks like you've done a DNA test according to what you say on your profile, but you haven't entered the test information, so it doesn't show up on your ancestors' profiles.  That could help you make connections.
