Biography

William Broomfield was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

William Taylor Broomfield was born on 27 August 1856 at Pyrmont and was baptised at St Andrew's. Sydney, on 2 October 1856.^[1] He was the son of John Broomfield and Hannah Morris.

BIRTHS.

At Pyrmont, on the 27th instant, the wife of Captain J. Broomfield of a son.^[2]

On 23 January 1881 at Balmain, he married Margaret Thallon.^[3]

Marriages.

BROOMFIELD-THALLON.-January 23, at St. Mary's, Balmain, by the Rev. T. B. Tress, William T, eldest son of Captain Broomfield, of "Glentworth", Balmain, to Margaret, only daughter of James Thallon.^[4]

William and Margaret had children:

He passed away on 20 December 1912 in Cape Town, South Africa, and was interred in Maitland Cemetery, Maitland, City of Cape Town.^[5][6]
