Edith (Broomfield) Laycock was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Edith Annie Broomfield was born in 1862 in Pyrmont. She was the daughter of Captain John Broomfield and Hannah Morris.

On 12 June 1884 at St Mary's, Balmain, she married John Henry Laycock.^[1]

John and Edith had children:

1. John Pearson Laycock m Sarah Burton
2. Richard William Laycock m Ethel Marion McCarthy
3. Reginald Blaxland Laycock m Lily Gertrude Cameron
4. Aline Broomfield Laycock m Cecil Gibson Nathan

She passed away on 31 January 1932 in Bathurst^[2] and was interred in St Jude's Cemetery, Randwick.^[3]
