Biography
George was born in 1854 near Witt Springs, Searcy Co., Arkansas, a son of Arwine Yates and Malinda Page.
George married Rhoda Jane Ross (1859-1941) in January, 1882 in Pope, Arkansas. They had 5 children together, farming in Newton County until they were old.
In 1930 they were living in Wagoner, Oklahoma, near the farm of their son, John. John died in 1931, and Rhoda followed in 1941. They were buried in Elwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
