Biography

Robert was born 21 Jan 1912 in Carroll, Wayne, Nebraska. He was the son of Francis Lewis and Stella Eastburn.

In 1920 he was living in Slough, Pierce, Nebraska.^[1] The household included Francis Lewis age 44, wife Stella Lewis age 52, son Elmer Lewis age 17, son Lester Lewis age 11, son Robert Lewis age 7 and son Harold Lewis age 3. All were born in Nebraska except Stella born in Iowa. Francis was a farmer.

In 1930 he was living in Precinct 19, Cedar, Nebraska.^[2] The household included Francis Lewis age 54, wife Stella M Lewis age 52, son Robert H Lewis age 18 and son Harold C Lewis age 13. All were born in Nebraska except Stella born in Iowa. Francis was a farmer. Robert was a farm laborer.

Robert Lewis and Louise Marie Ehrhardt were married 24 Dec 1933 at St John Church in Randolph, Cedar, Nebraska.^[3][4] She was the daughter of John Ehrhardt and and Catherine Meisinger.

In 1940 he was living in Randolph, Randolph City, Cedar, Nebraska.^[5] The household included Robert Lewis age 28, wife Louise Lewis age 26, son Duane Lewis age 4 and son Laverne Lewis age 2, all born in Nebraska. Robert was mechanic in a garage. His brother Harold lived next door. Robert's wife and Harold's wife were sisters.

He registered for the World War II draft in Randolph, Cedar, Nebraska.^[6]

His adult confirmation was at St John Church in Randolph, Nebraska on 13 Jul 1947.^[7]

He died 14 Mar 1958 in Orange County, California.^[8]

He is buried in Harbor Rest Memorial Park, Santa Ana, California.^[9]
