Kendrick B. Williams was born in May 1862 in Vermont[1][2][3][4][5][6]. He was the son of Adaline and Civil War veteran Isaac Williams of he famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
His father also worked as a gardener and grave digger in New Haven, and his son Frederick also worked as a grave digger in New Haven at Grove Street Cemetery.
