Mayflower Descendant of George Soule and Francis Eaton

Biography

Hannah Soule, daughter of William and Hannah Soule, was born 1 June 1694 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.[1][2][3]

Hannah married before 18d 10m 1721 [18 Dec 1721], Joseph Holley/Holway (and other variant spellings).[4] On that date she was condemned by the Dartmouth Monthly Meeting (Society of Friends) for her recent marriage to Holway.[4] Joseph was born in Sandwich 6 Nov 1694, son of Joseph and Anne Holway. Joseph later moved to the Beekman Patent.[1][5]

She died probably in Dartmouth, about 1738, and probably before a deed written 21 Feb 1738/9.[1]

Children probably born in Sandwich.[1]

  1. Lydia b 4 Jan 1725
  2. Sal/Sarah? Holloway was probably b. c 1727; died after 21 Feb 1784 when "brought to bed"
  3. Joseph ?? b ca. 1729 (Joseph and William resided in Dutchess County, apparently children of Joseph Holloway, but not 100% proven)
  4. Elsie/Alice, (aka Elsa) b. prob. ca. 1732
  5. William ?? b. prob. ca. 1736 (from age at death)(Joseph and William resided in Dutchess County, apparently children of Joseph Holloway, but not 100% proven)
  6. John b. prob ca. 1738
