Biography

Giovanna Provenzano is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giovanni Provenzano and Lucia Ligotino, who married in 1880. I estimate Giovanna is born the following year. She is named after her father's first wife, who was also Lucia's cousin.

Giovanna marries Leoluca Nieli, son of Biagio Nieli and Giuseppa di Prima, on 26 September 1898.[1]

Giovanna and Leoluca have at least two children, Giuseppa (c. 1908) and Lucia (c. 1914), named after their paternal and maternal grandmothers, respectively.

Giuseppa marries Leoluca Riina on 1 January 1928.[2]

A note on his baptismal record indicates that Leoluca marries Lucia Nieli, daughter of Leoluca, in the Sant'Elena church on 3 September 1934.[3]
