Salvatore Provenzano is born and baptized 20 June 1891, named after his maternal grandfather. He is the son of Giovanni Provenzano and Lucia Ligotino. His godparents are Calogero Russo and Rosa Cerniglia, a married couple.[1]
Salvatore marries Marianna Listi, daughter of Salvatore Listi and Vincenza Petranella, on 18 January 1920 in Corleone.[2]
