Biography

Joseph "Jody" Chester McQueen was born May 31, 1915, in Blanket, Brown County, Texas, USA ^[1] to father, John Carl McQueen (1877-1968), and to mother, Margaret Emma (Brewster) McQueen (1882-1951).^[2] At age 14, Jody and his family were living in Brownwood, Texas, where many of his other family members lived.^[3][4]

By 1935, Jody was living in Midland, Texas, working as an instrument man in the petroleum industry for Humble Pipe Line.^[5] He was also registered for the World War II draft.^[6] Jody registed for service in the Army on 2 Apr 1941, as a private at Fort Bliss El Paso, Texas. Service Number, 38067125. He worked as a civil engineer, in the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA.^[7]

On 14 September 14, 1946, Jody married Bonnie Jane Collins in Big Spring, Howard, Texas.^[8] In 1948, they were living in Midland, Texas, where he was working for Humble Pipe Line.^[9] Together, Jody and Bonnie had the following children:^[10][11][12]

3. daughter, Deborah McQueen

Jody died on January 29, 1989, in Ector, Texas, USA.^[13][14]
