In 1920, when he was only 10 years old, he and his sister Augustin (who was 15 years old), were called as prosecution witnesses in the murder trial of their neighbor Mose "Tom" Wilson who was accused of shooting his wife Hazel McDaniel Wilson.[4] Mr. Wilson was found "not guilty" of the murder.
He was first married to Florence Josephine Wagner on 16 April 1930 in Yavapai County, Arizona.[5] He had at least two children, sons William and David.[6]
Orville served in the Navy between 1944 and 1946.[7]
According to Orville's obituary, printed in the Arizona Republic, he had worked for the National Park Service at Tumacácori National Historic Park for 15 years before retiring. His obituary lists his (second?) wife Jessie as a survivor, along with his sister and three brothers.[8]
Orville Wright Deubler passed away on 29 January 1972 in Navajo County, Arizona.[9][10]
