Biography

Giuseppe Castro is born and baptized on 24 February 1839, named after his paternal grandfather. He is the son of Leoluca Castro and Giovanna Giuffrida. His godparents are Giuseppe and Giovanna Ligotino, a married couple.

Giuseppe Castro dies at age ten (b. 1839) on 24 October 1849.

His mother dies the following March.

Leoluca has another son named Giuseppe with his second wife, in 1852. This son survives to marry.
