Biography
Giuseppe Cascio is born and baptized 17 November 1818 in Corleone. He is the son of Stefano Cascio and Carmela Streva, the second of ten children. The third of Stefano and Carmela's sons, born in 1823, is named Marco, after Carmela's father, as would be traditional for the second son. Giuseppe's godparents are his namesake and paternal uncle Giuseppe Cascio, and his wife Maria Oliveri.
Giuseppe's father, Stefano, dies, reportedly at age 73 (he is around 63) on 18 April 1853.
Giuseppe marries for the first time at age forty to Antonina Zabbia, a widow, on 17 October 1858. I have not found any children from this marriage.
His mother, Carmela, dies at age 81 (b. 1796) on 22 June 1877.
Giuseppe dies at age 80 on 29 August 1899. This record does not mention his wife.
