is he a Notable? Probably at least some categories

James Isbister played a pivotal role in Western Canadian history as

  1. the first farmer to grow wheat in Saskatchewan
  2. the founder of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
  3. a Metis leader
  4. one of the four men deputed by the disaffected citizens of the NWT to travel to Montana to seek help from Louis Riel, eventually setting the stage for the second uprising

He has an entry in Wikipedia and in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography.

I think i have seen Hudson's Bay Company tags of some sort - he was an employee, so should probably have that category.

Could someone who knows more about those things do whatever is appropriate for James Isbister's profile?

With sincere thanks

Shirlea

If he has a Wikipedia-entry he qualifies for the Notables-Sticker. See here

Winner!  Winner!  You have a notable. As Jelena suggested, you should add the Notables Sticker. We could do it for you but it is better for you to give it a try first.  Don't worry about doing it wrong,  just give it a try and if wrong, it will get corrected. You will learn more from trying and making a safe mistake like this than just having me do it for you. We are excited for your find.
