Parents of Goodwin (Godwin) Walter died 1735 Chester, Delaware, Pennsylvania

Question

Does anyone have an interest in this early Pennsylvania settler? Currently Goodwin Walter, born about 1675 in Shipley Sussex, England, is linked to parents Eldad Walters and Mary Blanchard, consistent with numerous online trees. Is anyone aware of any sources to support this? I have not been able to find any evidence. Eldad Walters' descendants are well documented, his children's baptisms at Batheaston, Somerset England are available online and his wife Mary Blanchard Walters died in 1685 in Batheaston (her burial record confirming she was the wife of Eldad). Eldad's will does not name a son Goodwin. Many thanks!

Hi Jillaine, thanks for checking this out. The alternative parents was my suggestion - although also on a few other online trees, and it does seem to fit the facts rather better than the current parents. But I'm just keen to be thorough and make sure I'm not missing something...
