Help Connect Canada Notables for May 2024 - Science and engineering

Question

The Canada Project's connection challenge for May 2024 -  is open. We are highlighting 10 notable scientists and engineers that need to be connected to the Global Family Tree.  Can you help by adding profiles of family members until a connection to the Global WikiTree is made?

The current tree sizes as of April 25th are shown for each profile.  Even if a connection is not made, adding even a single profile to a family is helpful and appreciated!

That leaves four more profiles needing to be connected in May.

So far, seven of the ten profiles have been connected in the challenge. The connection counts for two of the three remaining profiles have increased. Research notes have been added that have some possible clues to help find connections to the big tree.

Please help if you can find some additional profiles to help connect these notables.
