Help Connect Canada Project Notables Challenge for July 2023! [closed]

Question

The Canada Project’s monthly birthday monthly connection challenge for July 2023 is open. We are highlighting 10 Canada Project Notables who need to be connected to the Global Family Tree.  Can you help by adding profiles of family members until a connection to the Global WikiTree is made?

The current tree sizes as of June 30th are shown for each profile.  Even if a connection is not made, adding even a single profile to a family is helpful and appreciated!

Dalton McGuinty will be connected after a merge goes through. I’m sure there is a much closer connection, but I was able to connect him via his maternal 3rd great grandfather Francois Xavier Nault. FX’s wife, Elizabeth, was half indigenous and there is a photo on Ancestry of the couple from 1856. Apparently the original is at the Algonquin Centre in Maniwaki, Quebec.

I added grandparents to Bennett Campbell, and connected him in one line. I'm a bit confused about his paternal grandmother, but I'll try and add a few more twigs along the branches.

EDIT: No I didn't. Two guys, same name, same birth year. I had the wrong one.

Good luck with the Asper family! I made some progress by moving sideways through spouses and siblings, but everywhere I go it's just more people who immigrated from Russia, which is way outside my comfort zone.

Feel free to send trusted list requests for anyone in that little tree. I'll respond to them as quickly as possible. ☺️ Looking forward to jumping into this challenge when I get back from vacation in a few days!

Regarding Izzy's father...

Geneasearch is down which is a real bummer for Czernowitz.

This should be the right book for Leon's birth record, but I'm struggling reading the content as I'm not familiar with Ukranian. 

JewishGen also has some solid links for Czernowitz as well. 

Hopefully we can find some people with help for the Ukranian, my usual go-to gal is out of the country for the next few months.
