I'm looking for a source that confirms the parents of Elijah Case, who was born around 1809 in New York. Before his marriage to Jane Ware in California, he was married to a Phebe (possibly Miller), in New York or Ohio, if that helps narrow it down.

The only record I have found is Find a Grave. A birth record would be better. Have not found one yet.

There were two Joseph Potters born in Rhode Island. And I think we have the wrong one connected to the wrong spouse and family here on WikiTree.

FamilySearch Records

1). Joseph Potter (b. 30 Jan 1706 / d. 1773)
M. Abigail Larkin (b. Abt. 1706 / d. ?) on 14 Jun 1730 in South Kingston, Washington, Rhode Island. (source)
Parents: Thomas Potter and Susannah Trip (source)

2). Joseph Potter (b. 24 Sep 1724 / d. 31 Aug 1802)
M. Catherine Spencer (b. Abt. 1726 / d. 14 Aug 1808) on 14 Feb 1747 in Exeter, Kings, Rhode Island. (source)
Parents: John Potter and Hannah Saunders (source)
Note: John Potter is the son of Thomas Potter and Susannah Tripp.

WikiTree Has:

1). Joseph Potter (b. 30 Jan 1706 / d. 1773)
M. Catherine Spencer (b. Abt. 1726 / d. 14 Aug 1808) on 14 Feb 1747 in Exeter, Kings, Rhode Island.
Parents: Thomas Potter and Susannah Trip

So it seems the wrong Joseph is attached to Catherine Spencer.

I have several people who do not have adequate sources to confirm the link. They are all in a line to me as follows:

- Ann (Lundy) Macklem (1798-1886)

- Eliezar Lundy (abt.1773-1846)

- Nancy (Silverthorn) Lundy (1751-1829)

-Johanna (Newman) Silverthorn (abt.1718-1815)

-Susannah (Newman) Hampton (1744-1787)

- Jonathan Hampton (1775-1812)

- Jonathan Hampton (1811-1844)

- Julia (Foster) Hampton (1811-1891), one of Brigham Young’s wives

I believe that there are too many in this line and they are within a time frame that sources connecting them may be difficult to find.

I've added some sources to connect Julia Foster and Jonathan Hampton.

The will linked in Jonathan Sr.'s bio mentions a son, Jonathan.

Stuck on step 12 of my path! It's the only step that needs verified. Anyone able to assist?

Harriett Newton to her mother: Elizabeth Stacy

I've looked at the following sources listed on their or other family member profiles:

Heading out in a few hours for a road trip not sure I'll have time to come back to this
by Azure Robinson G2G6 Pilot (569k points)
I came across a possible transcription of Sylvanus Newton's will that mentions a daughter Harriet Eveland (the image doesn't state where it was found, and it's a typed page): https://www.familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/27683918
Here's a well-written and sourced story about legal trouble Harriet had after the death of her husband John, that mentions Harriet's father Sylvanus. It gives a lot of primary sources: https://thefamilymctree.com/john-eveland-drowns-part-2/
Thanks so much, Erin! Found the Ohio will that is transcribed in the image you shared!! The name in the record was Tilvanus instead of Silvanus!

I am stuck on Step 9:

Clarissa Harding

She apparently had four husbands. My connection to Bernstein goes from her husband Jacob Er Terry, one of Brigham Young's brother-in-laws, to Clarissa's husband David Lewis

I found a notice of Clarissa and Jacob's marriage, but can't find evidence of her marriage to David. This entire family is confusing. I feel fairly confident of the connection from David to me, but this one link is uncertain. I'm not even sure where to look for a marriage record or notice. Can anyone help, please?

by Dawn Watson G2G6 Mach 1 (19.5k points)
I added two sources for Clarissa and David's marriage to her profile:

Clarissa writes about their marriage and separation in her autobiography. BYU's archives has a copy of the transcript online.

The "Membership of the Church of Latter Day Saints" collection on Ancestry also gives their marriage date.
Oh, wow! Thank you so much! I had no idea those (autobiographies) were even a thing. Never done any research on Mormon families before.

Thank you again!

Looking for a source for the marriage of James Padfield (Padfield-135) and Anne Bright (Bright-3288).  Whoever created the profiles says they got married Jan 9 1826 in Ontario but no source.
by Danielle Miholics G2G4 (4.4k points)
Michael Stephenson of ontariogenealogy.com has an index of marriages that includes James Padfield and Ann Bright in 1826. You might want to contact him to find out which register the marriage record is in: https://www.ontariogenealogy.com/uppercanadamarriages.html

I'd say that since Ann's father's will mentions James Padfield as a son-in-law, the connection is valid even without a date.
My only concern is that I don't know that James Padfield mentioned in the will and James Padfield who was a reverend in Brant County are the same.  Admittedly I have records for an Anna Bright and James Padfield's children (either death or marriage records) and that matches up with the census records for that James Padfield but it's not IMPOSSIBLE that there could be another James Padfield who married a Bright.  It would be a crazy coincidence mind you but...

Hi Team Bernstein,

We are working hard to make our tree as accurate as possible. I have done some research and have managed to find a record which gives us this Felicia Cohn Montealegre-4 LNAB. I have added the information and source to the profile. Please take a moment to change the LNAB to Cohn per her Birth record and Felicia Cohn's Marriage record. We appreciate your contributions to our global tree and hope you will be able to collaborate with us on this profile. Thank you.

Chris.

I am stuck on 5 degrees from Bernstein:

Experience Case-4536

I'm looking for a source that confirms the parents of Experience Case-4536, who was born around 1795 in Cambridge, Washington, New York, United States.

I can't find evidence of her marriage to Eleazar Curtiss Fairchild in 1810.

Looking for a source for her death record.

Can anyone be able to help?

I am stuck between 10 and 11 degrees from Bernstein.  I'm looking for a source that confirms the siblings of David Husted-25 and Abigail Husted-41. Please can anyone be able to assist?
by Chris O'Connell G2G6 Mach 1 (16.6k points)
They had been detached from each other.  I found that Abigail may be the daughter of John Husted-15 and Mary Unknown-30401 as mentioned in the book, Mead, Spencer Percival. "Ye historie of ye town of Greenwich, county of Fairfield and the state of Connecticut, with genealogical notes". Page 592.
