Finding records in Georgia isn't one of my strong suits, can anyone find any records confirming that Wilkins Sherman is the father of Jonathan (John) Sherman?

I added sources, including the 1850 census showing him with his family.
Just a comment: Erin, I love how involved you are in the community, after all these years.

For those who don't know her ... Erin has been a top WikiTreer for as long as I can remember. She was even a team member for a time. She was a champion for AJ's Global Family Reunion 10 years ago. Her contributions are innumerable.
Thanks, Chris. I love WikiTree because it's one of the few places on the internet that feels like a real community – we may not all know each other, but there's a common goal and real camaraderie and respect for each other's work and skills.

I need documentation that Jane Garrett is a sister to John Garrett.  They lived in Chambers Co., Alabama.  There is a descendant report  that has some sources showing gifts to daughters that were recorded, but I don't have access to them for verification.  According to my understanding of the researchers notes, Jane was named as being excluded from receiving anything.  Need to show that they both belong to John Garrett Sr.

If you (or anyone else who is interested) is near a Family History library, the deeds should be in one of these microfilm reels: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/618381?availability=Family%20History%20Library
I'm too far from civilization.

Can I get a fresh pair of eyes to take a look at James Gray? I've been going over the probate papers for Jas Gray of Tuscaloosa, Alabama linked on his profile, and I think they are meant to prove that James Gray and Elizabeth Hadley are his parents (they're linked on those profiles too); but I'm not seeing anything that connects them.

(I think the James Gray we're looking for might be the son of James of Chambers county: https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/9820126:8799?tid=&pid=&queryId=55af6227-9cfb-4d6d-b29b-0204b2964fbf&_phsrc=JMM5440&_phstart=successSource)

Is there anyone familiar with French who wants to help clean up what looks to be confusion between two different Louis Cartiers (one in Quebec, and the other in Louisiana)?

In short, we have Louis Cartier who seems to have spent his whole life in Sorel, Quebec, with a daughter (Catherine Cartier) born in Louisiana attached to him. To compound that, someone seems to have conflated Louisiana Louis Cartier's wife Genevieve Baton/Bateau/Bayoau with Quebec Louis Cartier's mother, Genevieve Millet.

I guess it's in the realm of possibility that he zipped down to Louisiana, had a child in 1789, and returned to Quebec and married in 1791, but it seems a little fishy.

I got it sorted with a transcription of Genevieve's marriage record. It was a different Louis, who had come from Bretagne in France, whose father's name was Jean.

My connection to Pat Garrett goes through Hannah Wheeler, Wheeler-8919. Family Search does not have Asa Marble's wife as the sister of Anne Wheeler, daughter of Jonathan. That Hannah seems to be Wheeler-18821. If so the link doesn't work.
