(Ratajczak-69)Birth location in Poland? Please advise best approach?

My g-grandmother Jadwiga (Ratjczak) Pietrzak (Ratajczak-69) named Targorwa Gorki Poland as her birth location in her USA naturalization petition in Milwaukee Wisconsin about 1940. I found Miłosłow listed as the location of my g-grandparents wedding in the Poznan Project Marriage records, both civil and Catholic. I have not seen those original documents. Miłosłow is a village name my 2nd cousin (son to Jadwiga's oldest sister) told me was his family location. This is my first step into Polish Geography. I have no Polish or German. 1. Is the information I have located sufficient to categorize? 2. How can I best categorize to help visualize, identify and link (with sources) families that I suspect chain migrated to Wisconsin with those who remained in Poland? Jadwiga is my direct Maternal ancestor. Assistance welcomed! Truth in advertising - I am a newbie with wiki formatting and linking, etc.- the profiles are under development.

My guess is this would be Miłosław:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi%C5%82os%C5%82aw

See this category set up for the location: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Mi%C5%82os%C5%82aw%2C_Wrze%C5%9Bnia%2C_Greater_Poland%2C_Poland

As you add your profiles, please make sure to add the category for the village to them.  You may see a total of 3 categories for one location (one in English, one in Poland and the other historical ... you only need to add 1 category for the profile to be seen across all three.)

If you are not able to find a village and need one created, nest the profile at the powiat or voivodeship level and we will create one for you.

I have a page that may help you with the basics of Wikitree: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Welcome_to_Wikitree

Welcome!!!  We're glad to have you here!

Nice, Skye, and I would guess Targowa Górka for the birth location - same county.

Ann, the FamilySearch catalog has been where I've had the best luck with Polish locations and records. It looks like they have church records for Targowa Górka that you can view at one of their satellite libraries or try a search.

The village Targorwa Gorki is actually named Targowa Gorka. It is located in Nekla district, Września County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. Miloslaw is a town in Września County.Targowa Gorka and Miloslaw are about 8 miles apart. Google Maps is a good way to visualize the area and other surrounding villages. This will help give you the information for categorization.

I suggest using BaSIA http://www.basia.famula.pl/en/ to help with your research. It has the marriage record for Kasimir and Jadwiga including their parents and the birth records for three of their children born in Poland. BaSIA provides a link to the archives so you can obtain the actual record images.
