Can you decipher the handwriting on this Land Petition?

At the beginning of this petition (pg 777, petition 26) it says "Asa Dibble of (Bef??)" The word is the name of his township which I have not been able to identify. Could it be an abbreviation?

Also in the text the petition gives the names of two people who are Asa Dibble's brothers in law. Can you decipher their names? To me it looks like Zachariah Burch? and Leroy? Luddington?

Would very much appreciate if someone would have a look for me. Thank you!

I think it's Oxford River Thames (Thames River, Oxford County).

I think your interpretation of the people’s names is correct, maybe the town is Bedford?  It was big enough to have named streets, maybe some place that’s been swallowed up by London (Ontario)?

Thank you Kathie, much appreciated!

It's very hard … :-)

I have problems to read "Oxford", but Oxford River Thames would make sense. :-)

The 2nd brother in law is Levy Luddington, not Leroy.

Zachariah and Levy sound Jewish.
