Henry C. Alvis from Cherokee Co, Texas reportedly became a CW casualty 15 July 1862 near Camden, Arkansas.  I'd like to find the regiment he served in and confirm exactly what engagement he was is and where he was buried.  I have checked FamilySearch without finding anything.

Here is a record for Henry S Alvis from Alabama. Company B, 1st Regiment, Alabama Cavalry.

Never mind. That's not him.  I just notice that is a Union soldier. Excuse the mistake.

I did not find him in the National Park Service database.
I searched the American Civil War Research Database for Henry Alvis and could not find him.

At National Park Service (I think) I found a Henry Alvis serving in the Kentucky Sharpshooters (CSA).
